I didn't take them as OVERLY snarky!! I thought they were the prefect amount of snarky.......


I learned my one thing for today. I learned when driving fence posts by hand near a gate do not allow your knuckle to get between the driver and a door/gate latch. If you do it will inflict great amounts of pain on yourself and say some words your elderly Mother was not impressed to hear. I told her I learned them from my Father, what could she say.....

No, I Wish that was my excuse. I have handles. I was just in a hurry and not thinking. Being in a hurry is a good way to get into a lot of pain....




I wish New Ulm was next weekend and not this. I need more time. I want to bring about 50 guineas there, and a bunch of other birds.

I was thinking it was next weekend too, and then I double checked. I did have someone email me today who is looking for some birds, so if I can offload the large fowl cockerels, I will be happy. The bantams will all fit in the back of the truck. If I have to take both, then I will need to use the trailer, and I don't want to use the trailer.

In fact, I wish I could just sell all my birds right from here, but I don't like buying all this extra feed, so I am going to try to suck it up and get on the road with them dark and early. Hopefully I will get back in time to shower before my husband returns from his big fishing trip in Maine where he has been since the 11th.

Finally doing up the chanterelles. I decided on an omelette. Sautéed chanterelles with green onion, Heirloom tomatoes from my deck, free range orange eggs. Topped with cheese and chives from my garden. Delicious.

Good morning peeps. Can't sleep. Congested. I'm still alive after mushroom omelette. I have to say they are better than the lobster mushroom. Going to try to sleep more.... So maybe not morning winner after all.
