Yeah, just an occasional loaf as needed but nothing fancy. Chickens have been enjoying lots of watermelon rinds this summer. Been a great summer for melons here

My watermelons didn't do very good because the pumpkins took over, good year for pumpkins here

THese were all bought melons. I meant they are tasty this year. Ive never had luck growing any.

My pumpkins are looking fantastic too. they are already turning orange though, so an early crop. the chickens will love them when the time comes.

I picked 2 watermelon from the garden today. The vines were dying. I thought I might have had a fungus or disease. I opened one tonight it was bright red! Judy says it was good. I do not believe there is such a thing as a good watermelon. I think this is about the 3 time in my life I have gotten watermelons to the point of being ripe.

I have a ton of squash and a few pumpkins.

I did not get any pumpkins this year. The plants grew but no pumpkins on them. The butternut squash are only about 3 inches long and we got only 2 watermelons about 3/4ths the size of a bowling ball. Not sure what we did wrong. Zucchini only produced one round and then died. Normally the zucchini are a shoe in producer until I pull plants. Rough year here.

Our garden was a wet bust this year except the sunflowers and the pumpkins.

Good evening chickeners . . . . .
It took me from 1336 to 1341 to find out how Judy is doing and then the description was merely that she is home from the hospital - Yea!

and that she is on bland food. Hope her recovery is steadily rapid.

So much to read and so much to learn. Thanks everyone! My learning is trending toward the computer courses . . . nothing fun to share there.

Have a wonderful evening.

I need some help... I am having trouble with my big rooster cutting up the hens really badly... This is the worst yet and I have no clue what to do about it... I'm starting to think this roo is just to big to breed these little hens of mine

What can I do about that big cut other than keep it clean? I am gonna figure some stuff out this week to try and prevent this. I have never had issues with this in chickens before but have with turkeys.

Thanks for any advice.
