Judy is doing ok, I think, she is just very weak. Thanks for your concern. Cluckies, Have you eaten one of those puffballs yet?
Nope, too scared and then they got mowed down...
BC, I have some very bad news for you. As a professional Chicken Wrangler I was forced to take many classes in Chicken Psychology. A bird that stands out in the open and taunts an eagle is not being brave or protective. He is wanting to get out of his unbearable living situation. Sometimes something as simple as having an owner that is constantly comparing him to a past bird can do it. The bird feels hopeless and decides to commit suicide.
The official term for this type of suicide is " Suicide by Eagle". I hope this helps you. BTW it is not always the bird owners fault the chicken is clinically depressed. 3 percent of the time it is the fault of the hens he lives with..
I hope this helps you.
Hahaha!

Wonderful! My Buckeye rooster sets up pretty good. But the one my sister used for showing is a BUTT lol! I have got some work to do with them before I decide who to take to Hutch. My rooster is lacking tail angle and doesn't have as nice of a comb as my sisters but he handles a lot better and actually likes me. But my sisters has good angle and an amazing comb.

First, not many lady judges, and none slated for this show. Second, if they are judges, they learned a long time ago to not wear red nail polish. LOL! and Third, you have been playing Pokemon Go, haven't you? Raspberries are how you lure Pokemon to stay in the ball when you capture them. Do not ask me how I know that!!!Might I suggest training with raspberries. We had good luck with that. Just make sure the lady judge is not wearing red nail polish.
I like this one! Which is he, the one you showed or she showed? I am not clear on that point. My Buckeye rooster sets up pretty good. But the one my sister used for showing is a BUTT lol! I have biters too. In fact, the cockerel my friend's daughter showed this summer bit the heck out of my arm, I had a bruise and torn skin for a few days. The funniest thing is that my bantam Faverolles will grab ahold when they are scared, like they are holding on so as to not fall or something. To me it is very funny. I am sure to some wimpy person they would be scared of the bird.Jerry and Minnie thanks.
I am not expecting anything, I just want to try it. I look at the SOP and think they look ok, but I really do not know. I am way behind on the tame bird and birds that do tricks stuff. Way behind!
I did have a SS that sat on the ledge next to me tonight and let me pet her without running away, too soon.. Of course it is so young I can not tell it's sex yet.
Oh and I carried Ed (the PC) to his new pen last night! Did I mention he bit me while I was carrying him??
