Surviving Minnesota!

I am not getting out of the house til I can see the coop

Right now I can't see the old house down there so I'm not going down. And it's. 7:50 right now!

You have fog too? It must be widespread.

That is the funniest one yet.

On another note, I think I might have stumbled on the cause of the woman that lost the CLB pullets. Fatty Liver disease. It strikes mainly females, CLB could be predisposed to it, it has a genetic component. Feeding moldy feed, or high fat treats can cause it. So if you pamper the birds you could cause it...

Makes me uncomfortable to hear this . I have fatty liver disease or NASH = non alcoholic steathohepatitis or something like that .

Yes we do. The main reason though is cause of the creek. But usually is recedes back by 6:30.. Its weird weather though, it is kind of warm outside and its drizzling also. We were supposed to get hail last night too

We have some fog here too. But we have a big pond, two creeks and two other smaller ponds. And no Mosquitos

We hardly had a single mosquito this year and I never got a single tick!

grey and breezy here. so gross, makes it hard to be productive. i wanted to install garage doors today but the wind makes that a risky proposition.

Spent some time in the chicken coop watching the kittens wrestle. they are now starting to venture out of their nest on their own a little. very cute!

My putor took anther update.

It takes me hours to sign in after one of them. I get so much spam and junk, my user ID and password are removed and BYC is slow to let me put them back in.

I was not in a hurry today at 5:30 I saw Holm had beaten me, so there was no rush. I cropped a bunch of pictures so there will be a photo bomb with this post.

BTW I read it would be a decent day today, yesterday on my IPhone. So why is it raining again? I heard thunder an hour ago and there are no cells on the radar. I think it is a government plot to make us think its a nice day.

The above is my 2nd dom rooster I am thinking of showing, My hand holding them from moving does make there breast look flatter then they are.

The one above this is my 1st rooster, however he is a jerk! He also has a comb that may be too large, His tail, I hope will fill out.

Above are the veggies we kept.

The two above here are the ones we placed at the end of drive for people to take (donations excepted)

I just wanted to show the size of the peppers so I put a soup can in them

And for Jerry my warty pumpkins. The Garden is now ready for the brush hog and disc.

I readily concede Erlibrd's garden ? mine. She is this years Pumpkin Queen.

I have a lot of work to do, but I might run out and try to find a Chicken or Hen (mushrooms) before I do any real work.

If anyone around here wants to join me let me know, I can wait.

So you are the squash King.

So you are the squash King.

Sadly no, You have the title as Squash Queen also, it is based on what you did to that poor spider....

Seriously, my squash and melons were unbelievable this year. I also made Kraut yesterday. However, we "sorted" the cabbage in the garden to try and keep only good ones. Once I started cutting the cabbage I found so many rot or dry rot spots I threw more away than I made into kraut.

With all the rain and my not getting it done when I should have it was terrible. The chickens are happy eating it though.
