Good evening everyone! Man I've been busy! During the week i've been helping an elderly friend get ready for moving to a senior retirement apartment. I'm kinda sad about it as it is down in Chanhassen, i'm not sure how often i'll see her way down there. she was in lino lakes which I could hit up after work. one of her sons lives in zimmerman, and one in chanhassen. I told her to move up here, but this son in zimmerman is a pant load and never visits or helps her, so down to chanhassen she went. I texted her to see how the move went Saturday . she said she would have shot herself if her son and his wife hadn't been there. She did not want to move, and don't know how they badgered her into it. she said she would have been happy to die in her home where she was at. I feel bad for her. my guess is her son and his wife won't help her or visit her anymore than they did, which was seldom. I hope they do though. They didn't even help her all these weeks to pack at all, i've been over there several times helping I feel bad for her.

Then Saturday, yey! I got my whole coop cleaned out, took out everything, storage shelving and everything else, as I have mice. I could hear them in the walls of the coop, had to find out how they were getting in. found it. DH put silica packs in there, then we closed off the 2 gaps. they will be mummies soon. This morning, no signs of mice in the run (no new holes, poo, etc) No mice in the traps. i've caught at least 11 this fall. 3 this week. icky. Well, I needed every bit of daylight yesterday to do all that i'll tell you what. went out when the sun came up and came in after the girls put themselves away. Today laundry, light cleaning, cleaned the inside of my car out to get ready for winter. i'm good and tired, but probably still will not sleep well due to day light savings and I just never sleep well on sunday nights.

What a coincidence! I have a duck in need of a home too! I bet Ralphie would love it if it somehow ended up in his yard!

I am sorry to hear about your friend too. I live 1,000 miles from my mother, she is 81 and starting to show signs of Alzheimer's. I wish I lived close enough to visit her more often and help her out. Some people just don't feel that way about their parents.
