Thank you Minnie, Ralphie, Kloppers, Cuz, MO3, Layers, and Jerry for advice. It truly helps to look at each option and consider our situation and lay of the land...etc. And to get reassurance based on what she's doing that she might be curable of it. DH and I will start with the e-collar first. I think/ pray she'll get it with this small investment first. We will have to watch her everytime she goes out for a while. Which is a task. I will need to get teenagers recruited on this too, once Craig and I've probably worked her a bit with it all. I watched Youtube Videos way late last night on training. She is Territorial Fearful. But when something runs from her she gets confidence. She is a funny little thing she does pretty well when we are outside with her. She clings to us. But obviously left to her own devices....she is N-A-U-G-HTY.

Kloppers we are embarrassed about this. But yes. Somebody telling you they will shoot your pet or family member and leave it on your step to find, does not really set real well.

I am ready for Christmas. I am doing the lazy person way of decorating the house. We bought one of those "laser" light things. I will just point it at the house and I am done. So much easier than hanging lights.

Many years ago I had a black lab female that did not want to mind. I got an e collar to get the dogs attention. The dog was perfect to all commands when wearing the e collar, but it quickly figured out that when not wearing the e collar it was not going to get a shock. Dog did not chase deer, but it was death on chickens. There were no free range chickens for about 14 years.

BC hope you get the dog broke from chasing the deer, and hope you are not tempted to shoot any Mpls. tycoons?
