Surviving Minnesota!

Lucky!! My cochins haven't layed for a month!

I am starting to put lights on my birds. I have it on most of my roosters now, the hens will need it soon, if I am going to get January chicks.

I moved my 4th PC rooster into the barn today. I decided he needs light too. Now I just need to decide who to breed, They all have strong points and weak points.

I only have one SS inside, but I am looking at another to bring in. I also have one more Cream Legbar rooster to bring inside. If I set on the 15th of Dec, the hatch rate could be iffy. But the second batch should be good.

I also have a light, mines an LED. They should have close to 16 hours. Still no eggs though..

Our teams actually got ruined because more kids were angry cause the coaches were playing seniority rather then better players. The worst part about it is that its ok if football does that but not any other sports.

I think the whole team should strive to be as good as the best kid on the team, rather then having the rest of the team stoop down for a few players..

I'm watching one of UMNs VB games right now.

I like you ILL and i think you are a smart kid, and i hate to say it, but this whole comment comes off a bit snotty. It reminds me of a young gal i mentored in the youth program in my church. She was big into softball and was great at it but was so caught up in trying to get things the way she thought they should be instead of enjoying it and just playing her best. She ended up being asked not to come back the next season. I think others here have given some great advice already so i will leave it at that. Have fun and just enjoy it for what it is!

While my laying stock are all pullets aside for 3 mixes I did get 27 eggs out of 30 laying hens today! Most days are about 21 but once or twice a week just about all of them will lay. We do not have a light on them yet either. We have the lights they just are not installed yet.
