Surviving Minnesota!

ok i saw something amazing tonight. Had to stop for deer crossing on my way home. the last deer in the line had only 3 legs! it was missing a front leg! i couldnt believe it!

as far as i could tell there was no nub or stump really, dangling down. so what do you think... born without a leg? or survived an accident and the leg somehow healed up and fell off?

my money is on the second. i cant imagine a 3 legged fawn surviving.

I did have a duck once and I loved him

my son found a duckling by the Mississippi, no mother or others around he said. I came home from work and walked in the door and something went scurrying across the floor so at first I was like what the heck is that! I had no clue how to take care of it but we found a place to buy duckling feed and it turned out to be a male wood duck. I would fill the bathroom sink for it to swim then as it got older the bath tub. It was so fast and amazing to watch it swim. He would sit on my shoulder as I walked outside and it would grab flying insects out of the air. But ducks can't be potty trained that I know of so duck poop on the floor because it couldn't be kept in a box after awhile. I took it to a place where they would release it with other ducks into the wild, they weren't very nice about it. Said it was am imprint blah blah blah.

If there wasn't snow everywhere and below zero I'd be running already getting ready for season in February.
