We Open Enroll to a different school to the West. You were correct and so is your TV.BC you mean the TV lied to me when they said all evening events at Longville-Remer were cancelled?
Terrible, if you can't even believe the TV any more!
Amen to those combs! Way to go Bogtown
Hey guys, I'm not from Minnesota, but Wisconsin, Go Pack Go. Anyway with a similar climate, when is the best time to incubate chicken eggs? If it takes three weeks to hatch and a few more in the brooder, I don't want them to outgrow the brooder before it's warm enough to put them outside in the colder Coop. Also what kind of chicks do you recommend? Thanks for helping a neighbor to the east and a first time chicken farmer!
@oreagano Welcome! I am gonna recommend Buckeyes to you! They are beautiful, lay decent and have pea combs. They also are friendly little buggers and my roosters are so sweet and very gentle with people! They are the perfect for our state and to have around!
I am thinking I need to change out my Cuckoo Maran rooster. Some how this klutzy guy managed to hurt his leg somehow while inside a cage. A 4x8 cage with him and two hens, a feeder, waterer, and a small roost and he looks like he screwed up his knee.
I am stuck with another injured rooster that has to live inside the pole barn on the floor if I change him out. I am also looking at 4 weeks of wasted eggs while I wait for the sub to become fertile. I do have lights on them in the bachelor pen but not in the bachelor coop. The Bachelors stay in the coop until about noon so I doubt the lights have helped them much. I hate changing roosters, I wish I knew what to do..... Klutz!!!
