http://www.koopclean.com/home-4/ I just found this . Might be worth a try for your stinky winter coop .
There seems to be some confusion as to who is on the rules committee.
I have listed all the members below:
DuluthRalphie, Chairman

That is the entire list. Nominations will be accepted for the rules committee next year. You simply need to nominate a person, send a resume and get the Popes approval. Once that occurs the current rules committee will vote on new members..
No No NO! YOU are WRONG WRONG WRONG. The very fact that I - I - I, that's ME - challenged you to be the first on the thread in the morning so that YOU would not have to 'suck' your coffee and wait for information/conversation from other chickeners leads me to believe that I am second on the 'committee'. Now it is BOGTOWN that began this thread. So Bogtown would automatically hold a position on this committee, I THINK that we should wait for BOGTOWN to make a decision about this. You, Me, and Bogtown Ralphie! I am willing to wait for this decision but are you Ralphie? (that's suppose to be political Ralphie as the inauguration is tomorrow.) What would your position be on this issue Bogtown? I would implore you to remember, politically, that I am a BogTown wannabe. Which I have previously stated to you during this thread. Yes, I know you have previously met Ralphie. But may I say that was entirely because of Jerrsyse's intervention. Mushrooms! I love Mushrooms! However, it is not to be about chickens. Should this not be based on the premise of chickens. BOGTOWN, I have no doubt that Ralphie and I would be able to professionally communicate while staying on the thread information and decisions pertaining to. . . . .
I'm not sure about the symptoms, just know that 6 out of 16 dropped dead in the last couple of weeks...@Cluckies , what kind of symptoms are her chickens having? This weather makes my coop feel wet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed all stay healthy.
@duluthralphie , do you have a trail cam that takes video? That might answer some questions. That, or maybe they're non egg laying chickens. I have a few of those. Very rare breed from what I hear.
Wow, that is a terrible start to a day! Hope it went better after that! This morning I was running late so when I went down to the yard for chores I knew I'd only have about 10 minutes. I was going to move Snape, Cochin cockerel, back to the coop but I was to busy chasing him around the old house after he jumped out of his cage. I finally caught him and put him back in his cage. Then I let the layers out fed the other cochins and went to thr tank to get water for the layers. The tank was frozen and thr ax is over by the other tank so I was using my foot, when I finally did break through my whole foot went in and I got water in my boot. I filled the bucket up and walked back to the coop in my wet shoe. When I got there I was putting the Corid in as this is the 5th day, right as I had the teaspoon out a bird flew up and the Corid on the teaspoon went everywhere!! So now I'm covered in Corid powder. I get some more Corid put it in and started walking back to the coop to clean the cochin cages. I look over the bus is about 30 seconds from the house. For those of you who don't know my coop is pretty far from my house, and the house is on a hill. So I hitched a ride on the bus up to the house.
And now as I'm typing this on the bus i'm still covered in corid.
Yes, it was also so very foggy at my place this morning, it got better the closer I went to the cities. I hope you didn't hurt yourself too badCentral mn be careful of the refreeze on sidewalks and back steps. Ask my bottom side and face how I know.![]()
Quote:My coop is dry and stink free, I put drain tile around it to keep the water out.... and, I clean the poo out every day... EVERY DAY!Glad I'm not the only one with a soggy and stinky coop. Global warming has its pitfalls...I know, sounds anal, and It gets old some days, but, I don't like a smelly coop. and I only have the 5 chickens, so it doesn't get too bad.![]()
