What's up with her that you think she could be priced that low ?
I accidentally fed my girls moldy grass today (I think), not realizing it. before bed their crops were spongy so that was very weird, so I was thinking about it while scrapbooking what could be wrong. I came home and smelled the fodder and it smells moldy some. Is there anything I can do to help them? did I just kill my girls?I can't find anything on this and what do to...![]()
Good Morning chickeners . . . . Erlibird - do you have to go to work on this day? If so, there is never any rest for the weary.
Ralphie - thats what a couple of my hens are looking like. I brought the BA in yesterday afternoon and washed her bottom. Her tummy looked red and she had a crusty scab just about her vent. At first I thought it was her vent. Then I let her dry off and put her back outside. She was so happy to be back with the flock. I watched her do the rounds inside the covered run to make sure everything was as it should be.
Those Juneberries should be okay in our kind of shade. Yes there are spots where the shade is heavy but most is dappled. Now how are you going to get fruit before the birds Ralphie? May I suggest a frame with chicken wire over the entire plant. You maybe able to make some jelly at some point in time if you get them before the birds.![]()
Oh My Gosh- The two cutest balls of fluff ended up in my yard yesterday, early evening. Our lab chased them up a tree. The 'guys' came in telling me about them. Later I went out to do something with the hens and I could hear these little meows. So I called them and one came to me. I did not realize that there were two. Maybe six weeks old. One is multi colors and the other is black and white. I KNOW they are barn cats for across the highway. Outdoor cats never survive long on this highway. Anyway, I held the one that came to me tightly as I crossed the street (I did not want to get scratched) After I crossed is when I noticed the black and white little gipper. No one was home so I walked back to the barn and gave them some food to distract them so I could get back across the highway without them following. I will go over and talk with the neighbor at some point today so he knows. They were so pea-pickin cute. IF they come over here again I am going to cage them and bring them to you Ralphie.
Good Morning....
No work Ivie. You wanted to say 'no rest for the wicked' didn't you?![]()
Hoping those kitties stay off the road.
