I have found rehabilitation of egg eaters is not always successful.



I put the lone Speckled Sussex Egg eating suspect back in with the other girls last night. I have not had an eaten eggs in the 2 months she has been in the rollaway cage. I found an half eaten egg today, I got 5 eggs and I had 6 hens in the cage...

The suspect is now in the rollaway cage awaiting trial. I am not sure what to do with her as she is my favorite (because she was the ones the judges picked for BV and BB last year in both Hutch and New Ulm..... I would hate to eat her and have the other person showing SS beat me this fall...

Off-the wall idea... Have you tried finding a nutritional supplement just to see if it by any chance makes her satisfied?

I have not however, I am feeding her game bird breeder which should have everything she needs plus.

I think she is just a criminal.

BC, I hate to be serious but that Pine may be a good source of seed for a variety which is resistant to White Pine Blister Rust?  Perhaps you should attempt to save some seeds if possible.
