Surviving Minnesota!

Speaking of tourists you guys farther North are not the only ones with the problems. Hunting seasons roll around during the last parts of my wild harvest times elderberries, gooseberries and the like. I'm not out to bother their game nor am I shooting I'm walking with my kids with a bucket teaching them about wild harvest. They mark their trails here with trash like cans. So when I see trash as a trail mark I pick it up and back pack it. They should learn some responsibility. Others come rushing through and destroy and ravage the plants. They take every thing with their mind on profiting in the cities. Then we have the atv idiots who break all the old berry canes and patches. I take what I use and don't ravage the land or destroy. What are these people being taught. ( I'm turning 33 this july) some of them need a good green switch to the butt
We call 'em Citiots.

We call 'em Citiots.
It's to the point now that my soon to be 9 yr old daughter tells me how they ruin things and make stuff dirty. Also had her tell me once that you should eat what you kill. 5 yr just calls them mean that stemmed from when one told me that the woods are too dangerous for children. The issue the neighbor has had is citiots going through her back 40 they rush to their car when I call her though. If they had permission they wouldn't run. She's in her 70s and I keep her supplied with every thing from eggs to apples in exchange for picking wolf grapes on her line fence. But man don't get me started on a few transplants from town we have

Bobbi J.... I know you are all rained out....BUT I need rain so badly here. It is dust bowl dry. I got a little this afternoon and a little a few minutes ago, but I could use a 2 day soaker.

I went to my Oyster tree and picked 2 1/2 pounds of oysters. I brought them home and threw the whole works out. Buggy!

Darn bugs are so fast if you don't get them soon enough....

Ralphie, you are welcome to that rain! You are far enough away from me that it won't bother us a bit.
