Destiny, sorry to read about the losses to the predators. Hope you eliminate all of them.

That is not going to be your typical cabin Jerry. It is going to qualify as a permanent residence and the real estate taxes are likely to be substantial.

The prose related to using poison to kill varmints and pests is noteworthy. There is one product out there that is marketed as a fly killer but is sometimes used for other things. I will not list its name as I don't want to encourage its use. It is commonly used by mixing with Mountain Dew or Coca Cola, and in that form animals love to drink it. It is extremely toxic and any animal ingesting it will soon die. Be sure to read labels completely when using these type of products, as they can result in the death of your pets.

Great pics BC . Thank you so much . Yes more a home than a cabin . Shhh my plan is to be a summer resident . Janet must be gently convinced . You know I always wanted a real barn . Hmmm nice place for chicken pens instead of horse stalls . Fort Knox for chickens . So I will be busy for several summers . A guy with trees and a sawmill would have very little expense for a barn . Just sweat .

I am alive but not in great shape. I ended up with some kind of gut infection. The surgery is iffy for Thursday now.

Ralphie, that is extreme measures to take as a means to avoid or delay the medical discomfort ? But the positive is that you will be able to eat enough to recover that weight once well again ?

Sounds like non specific enternitis . Look that up in your chicken disease book .
