Surviving Minnesota!

Hi chickeners . . . . had a radioactive (?) stress test last Thursday and it messed up the mother board. Dealing with that issue and it kind of, just a little, lays me low.
The chicks are still growing and Rosie is a good mama. What is amazing to me is how hens communicate their desires. She wanted out of the dust bathing area with the chicks for a while today so I let her - and to watch all the interactions of the flock is very interesting. I hope both chicks make it to maturity as I want to see what they look like. What was it? Legs up they are pullets? Legs down they are cockerels? I hope I am right because IF I have it right they should be hens.
Glad for the rain ILLS. A nice, soft, absorbent rain for a couple of days would be nice. Its clouding now for the rain coming into the banana belt.

errr....ahhh :oops: I think you have that backwards...Legs up is Fight response thus Boys....

Legs down is cry like a little girl response....:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau
 
Ok I caught up . Finally took time to get to the library for a signal . No internet for a year or 2 . Will only hookup to a house .Grandson brought his girlfriend along . So he is distracted from work a lot . Got the basement windows in and the beam mostly built . Still lots of bolts to install . Much tougher building a 6 x 12 oak beam 33 feet long . Grandson leaving Friday so 1 more work day I hope .

Can you use a hotspot connection from your phone? I use one at my cabin and even around here once in a while it works great.
 
Ivie since this is your first hatch they will all be boys... The last threeyears all my first hatches have been boys... I hatched six ladt spring and want to know what all six of them were? Boys lol
 
Ralphie it sprinkled here for a little while... We have hay that is ready for its second cutting but it's been too rainy to cut it...
 
Once again, somehow, we can't figure it out, we got no rain today. My DH was home all day and dry as a bone... I don't get it.
