W00t my husband hooked up a wifi extender and now we have a chicken coop cam, I don't imagine I'll be leaving my computer any time soon. And the chickens are finally using our makeshift roost (I had to set up a step for them so they can get up there, darn lazy birds). (still need to finish the walls and floor and put in a couple wider roosts but we needed to get them out of the brooder so they're in the coop).View attachment 1136775

I would like to know what brand of wifi extender and camera you are using. It is my intent to set up a camera in my hatching area to monitor temps from afar.

The camera is just a Nest cam (indoor). I'm not sure if we can leave it out there this winter though, it's not an outdoor camera so I'm not sure if the coop will stay in the proper temperature range for this particular camera. And the wifi extender is a TP-Link (like this I think: https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Exte...5500830&sr=8-2&keywords=tp-link+wifi+extender)

I am away back to work but I wish I was still chatting in that restaurant with these good people. I told Jerry we were lucky these folks wanted to break away from the banana belt and north of Brainerd to come to our little town. We all wanted to talk chicken... imagine that!

Erli: We had neighbor dogs pooping in our yard when we rented in town. We couldn't shoot a fire arm in town. But DH came home with a pellet gun. We would sit stealth like in our garage behind our car and shoot when that dog came over to crap in our yard. Guess what? it quit pooping in the yard.
Doesn't have to be pumped twenty times. 1 or two pumps and it will sting and not break the skin. That dog crosses the line it gets a pellet in the keester every time it visits or a toe is out of line.

Went to a NRA banquet last night. Judy went with she says she will never go again....(party pooper)...Says it was long and boring... I left happy, I won a rifle. Another varmint gun, a Savage 17 with w decent scope....

Judy is so weird, She asked why I needed a second 17..... What a stoooopid question, everyone knows the answer to that!

Man that's cool! I never win anything poor me.

Jerry, My Toad rooster was trying to starve out OJ.....I now have peace in the toad pen...Bert went to prison and became the new OJ,,,Oj has been promoted back to Bert...


Judy thinks we should eat the old Bert new OJ.. I want to reform him. We will see. I hate to run myself short on Berts.



We were not 10 miles out of Longville and we split a pair of deer. A doe came out of the pines and I slammed on my brakes, The doe made it by us, the fawn did not, but at least it was considerate enough to turn so we didn't hit it...

I stopped in 50 Lakes on the way home to visit Patty and see how the Toad was doing. Toad is good in the house in a nice warm tote. Patty on the other hand had just been sprayed by a skunk! she had caught it in a live trap but didn't have a rope attached and tried to move it but she wasn't sprayed too bad just got her arm. She thinks she'll have to sleep in the screen porch tonight.
