Surviving Minnesota!

You northerners have much cooler wildlife if you ask me... Wolves, Porcupine, Elk(not many, I know), Moose, Bear(occasionally seen here), Bobcat(I think they are occasionally here), Lynx, Mt Lion, the list goes on haha. Maybe they are just more charming since we don't have to deal with the downsides of them here. We mostly get the boring usuals, Coyotes, Foxes, Coons, Possums, Skunks...
They're not cooler when they eat your birds and smash your coop :barnie

Ralphie are you todling Mikes today?

Ed I cannot side with DH on this for it means that he wins. So now I’m the wiser is it ok that I not admit he got this one right? Thanks for letting me know. Maybe we scare them off with our 58# yappin’ mutt? And damage is minimal. Sort of like bison and elk browsing done on the run in Yellowstone due to wolves? So now there’s more vegetation for beaver lodges. Lol. Perhaps we have popples that are reaping the benefit of our mini cascade effect here. ...?

I am not allowed even one sip of Mikes on the medication I am on now......I was simply trying to help the delusional poster before me, as she seemed obsessed with Sea Otters. I have learned though the years it is better to agree and even make up a little tale when dealing with those people....

Until such time as professional help can arrive...

Also I would like to make a correction. When I went to lock the birds in for the night I got another egg. So the total cost per dozen will come down some.

Today I did a mid day sit/hunt . Nothing . Pictures supported the idea . So 3 hors in the cold . Came back to warm house and the dog and I fell asleep in the chair . Wondering about deer tag stew .

The deer season is in full engagement here. Two of my wife's little dogs were going bonkers over a couple of deer in the front yard, so I went out to scare them off. One did not want to leave and allowed my to walk up within 30 ft. even though I was telling it to rouse. Would have been an easy shot with a bow Jerry.
My sister lives about 5 miles from me, and she had deer in her yard all day including bucks with 10, 8, 6 and 4 points. Holms may even have bagged one if he had been there.

EJB I bagged a small buck yesterday evening but had the chance at a bigger one and a fawn. I also saw a small buck and doe this morning while hunting.

I had the great idea to cook up two coming on four years old Brahma hens tonight. They tasted great but were a little tough...

Saw a nice 4×4 this morning. Rifle season opens this weekend here. He could use another year maybe so I will probably give him another year

Holms, you have restored my faith in your hunting abilities. Now get in touch with Ralphie, as he needs your assistance in marketing that flock of birds !!

Ralphie! I will gladly use my marketing ability to sell such high quality egg layers! And all it requires is a small percentage of all bird income! Feel free to not read the fine print and we can get to work!

(98% of each birds profit seems fair to me)
