Surviving Minnesota!

Holms, I am confused to the purpose for either of these birds ? I might understand if they were of the same cross, and I realize that in each case there is a blue egg gene involved ?
Based upon appearance with no idea of what you are attempting to accomplish, I vote for #2.

-28 here in God’s country.

Fabulous. One more night of this poop-ola then a heat streak for us.

I suppose I should get up and see if junior is still alive. More scrambled eggs for his weary rooster bod. Although every time I’ve checked his crop he’s got a nice full one at night. So that’s good.

Heading to Grand Rapids for dental appointment. Couple of cracked molars probably on the agenda. Been putting one off for years.

Sadie just crawled between DH and I. It’s a 3 dog morning.

I was just going to keep one for my layer flock as there won't be a rooster in there shortly once my last two breeding pens are done.

Holms, do you have a varied flock of layer hens ? Do you have blue, green and brown eggs ? In which case I believe either rooster would fill the bill. I like the looks of #2 better.
I have a little bit of both lol. I won't cull anything until it warms up a little so we will see...
