Surviving Minnesota!

I just came in from Chores----- NOT FUN!!

I have never had so many water founts freeze up on me. I can't even open them. They are froze shut. The heaters can not keep up with the cold.

I have to water in rubber dishes again. OH----- how 1970 this is!

Not a happy person. MY glove has a hole in one finger-----that finger is about frozen off.

Yesterday a couple of the founts caught up and I had soft water in them. Today everything outside as hard water......

Holm my barrels are about empty----- which day you coming to carry water? I forgot the day.

What's the temperature there?

Sorry Holm. about the Yoki. This weather weeds out the weak ones...

Nice Pictures Ill.

I have given up trying to guess if they will live or die. This weather is so brutal on them, I think it is kind of a will power on their part. I have some that sit in the corner and seem to just act like Fake Eilleen in 30 degree weather....and others that seem to just put their big girl panties on and take the weather in stride....

That big old hen I thought was going to die the other night was 6 ft in the air on a roost tonight. So who knows what will live or not...I just hope I have some in April.
How did you know what I was doing in the corner!
