Morning 1 above but it feels like 20 below.
That was a great superbowl IMO, way better than last years scripted one. We went back to Fairfield for it, which is about a 3 hour round trip, I am glad I drove on the way there and not the way back. It is so nice to go back amd visit with those people but boy does it suck in the morning

Is everyone in a Superbowl induced coma?

We are enjoying a balmy -5 this morning. Nothing new to report other than a few frozen waterers this morning. I can no longer call the Orrock Freeloaders - Freeloaders they are really putting out the eggs. 1-2 eggs per day from 2 Hens... Hopefully, we can get a cockerel out of them, as my Father - in -law asked for a really pretty and colorful rooster but it must be NICE! CLB would be the only thing I would have that has color.

2 frozen eggs on first gather . I gathered at 5:30 PM last night . So I think these were laid during the night or first light . Legbars are still slackers here . Their project pullets are laying up a storm . New blood helps .

I noted the new blood helps too with the Toads.....but I still have frozen eggs from them as they are in an uninsulated part of the barn.

Some snow yesterday . 3-6 late today . I think I would rather mow grass than shovel snow .

Morning all.
Sorry, I was busy earlier. I have a 2 day push before I can relax.

Chickens are outside enjoying the cold sun. Once they got over their fear of snow they go from the coop to the wood shed and back in one day!

It must be all of 150 ft.
