Surviving Minnesota!

hmarg are your slippery roads melting?

I heard you guys have ice rinks down there.
Talked to a somebody in Winona yesterday. He said they're scared to leave their house...afraid they'll fall.

Congrats on your huevos.

Not since last night we haven't! It snowed overnight and melted on to the snow a little getting rid of it. I was having to shuffle up and down my hill of a yard to get to my birds 2-3 times a day, it was getting pretty old! I actually used a sled once and slid down to them, I figured I'd have less chance of falling that way... even if it meant smashing into my fencing haha!

This should give you some idea. If you notice how my yard it pretty much just straight ice!

Thank you! Ice definitely makes for some gorgeous photo opportunities, but pretty much makes everything else suck. We can be grateful it wasn't enough to be bringing down trees and power lines. I didn't hear of any of that.

My thermometer is reading 51 degrees.....

However, I have the remote probe for it in my bird feeder. The angle of the sun is such it is shining directly onto the probe-----Plus the fact the feeder is out of seed----- Which means Judy needs to fill it...

But whatever the temp it is nice outside.
