Surviving Minnesota!

Can't say I am all that lucky, but stubborn I excel at, so I will keep trying.
Thank you very much!

Continue to be stubborn.....I have hatched 5 side saddled air cells (all buckeyes) this year alone. It can be done. Continue pointy end down and when lockdown comes around make sure air cell is up.

You have gotten good at this hatching stuff!!!!! I might need a lesson soon

So after today it looks like I’ll be setting 71 eggs plus what I get tomorrow..

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY BUCKEYE HENS LAID TODAY. They are such good birds... Granted they lost a lot of their beaks... I trim them down good as I know they like eggs... But now haven’t had an issue...

Oh and it looks like 4-5 of my Broodies 7 eggs have started and the other ones are maybes... It’s only day 4 so who knows..

Ooh and there was a cow acting a little off tonight.. I think she'll calve either tonight or tomorrow... She is good and ready..

First pip in the eggs this evening! I think there are 12 left, not bad for shipped eggs. We should start calving soon.
2 more weeks until the first track meet. So far I am diagnosed injury free, I have only had a problem with my left collar bone, and possibly a sprained tendon in my foot.
