Identifying Lockdown Deaths
Good eggs at lockdown have small veins reaching up to the edge of the air cell. They also glow reddish.

They don't look sunken or fuzzy, though, unless you fried them all by leaving your thermometer adjustment outside the door.

I have seen all kinds of weird numbers. Last night at a political meeting a guy said we would be getting up to 2 feet of snow. Normally these over hyped weather events are a bust. I am hoping this one follows suit.

I just read an article by a guy, with a PHD, trying to convince us the growing huge arctic ice shelf, the record snow in Antarctica, the spring that is January like in the midwest and norther tiers are all part of global warming...

I am sure in the fall they will announce the record average high temps for the winter of 2017-2018.

What about the record lows down south? Is that all part of global warming

Yep, and my Mom, calling and whining about the cold in Florida (when she was there) was normal global warming too.

We went from a forecast of around 12 inches to around one inch lol. I wonder who will get it instea of us

I think we're still in the "EXTREME" range on the map. Ug.

Hmm I'm still in the 15-16" range. When I planned my vacation for the end of April I didn't expect it to be a winter escape. :/

So was on Craig's list and called about chickens some one was selling. He must think his hatchery chickens are gold wouldn't go lower than 15$ a chicken. Speaking of, any one know any one in the Rochester area thinning their laying flock? could sure use a few more girls. I like em big and colorful.

Morning all.

Tfred, I would use something a tad more porous for the cover on the brooder box, something that allows heat out. I worry about a light in a small enclosed area.

It's a corrugated plastic, so should allow some heat to escape. That's on my radar. In the garage I was having a hard time maintaining 95+ without some cover. I intend to open it up as I can lower temp. Then cover with some chicken wire that I have.
