Here are some pictures from today, if you look on the far right in the 1st picture you can see the bull. I am pretty sure all of the cows in this pasture are my grandpas, after "retiring" from ranching he kept mostly Longhorns will some blacks and baldies, and 2 herefords

I have 4 partridge hens and 4 more pullets. I will only keep one rooster. The cockerel is out of the rooster and is 13 weeks... which one do I keep? The rooster is ok, but too red for my preference. Any thoughts are welcome.

Personally I would wait until they are at least 5 months to really start choosing who to keep. I always have an idea in the back of my head who I want to keep but I won't do anything until I for sure know who I want to keep. They should be ok together that long, since the cockerel was raised with the cock as a young bird he should respect him for quite a while

Oh yes. I have a lot of roosters together all the time and they are just fine. And that Cockerel will know who’s is boss.

Yep! I had my eye on this one Cockerel who looked like he’d be great all summer last year and after month 4 he went to hell and was the worst Cockerel I raised...

hey y'all cattle people. . check out what my hubby made me out of a mineral tub for a critter keeper! Perfect for isolation for a sick or naughty bird, or for transporting birds to sell, I could even use it to take my big fat cat to the vet. Thought you guys might like this idea if you need anything like this. .or build some to sell.

We don't buy mimeral tubs but I may have to see if any of the neighbors have any, that is a really good idea!
