Surviving Minnesota!

Blueberry picking this morning. Friends and family day. I will go again Amy when they open to the public. Thursday or Friday? Or Saturday if that works better for you!

Morning all... We were going to go up to the family farm and butcher a feral bull that the neighbor lost last fall but he is nowhere to be found on butchering day...

We hooked the haybine up and will get second cutting done...

@erlibrd Becky it looks like Sara (MIL) and I will be out there the morning of the 21st. The boys have a golf team benefit for the High School at Tianna and Sara and I'll will go picking that morning. I know Saturdays might be a pain with the extra folks around. But my only day off to do it.

Will find the legitimate wild blueberries here. Although I do have some plants of my own, the wild ones do have superior flavor I believe.
With adequate moisture this year there should be a good crop.
Early morning storms here with much lightning and thunder. We only got about 6/10s of an inch of rain, but we are not short of moisture.
Chickens love to free range even if it is raining.
No doubt about it Ed. Albeit 1/3 the size they have 10 times the flavor punch. Family over on Moccasin point of Lake Vermilion were picking here last week and filled buckets and buckets of wild blueberries. They must have a good spot.
