Surviving Minnesota!

We’re loading the camper this morning. On and off I hear the egg song. Dog loaded up on the truck. She won’t budge for fear of being left. I go down to the coop to collect my eggs.

Predator call. Fox forced through hard ware cloth popped nails. Professional job. 3 dead birds. Lucy -my big glorious blrw, my bo pullet, and my dom rooster. Heads ripped right off.

2 1/2 hours later after repairs to my run. We are in the road. I don’t want to go though, now.

How horrible, so so sorry.

That stinks.

Chick room in the new coop is pretty close to done. Today I will be painting it and possibly adding the shelf pen in. For the layer part the roof needs a little more fixing and then the doors need to be figured out. I am hoping to have the current laying flock moved in on the 8th, and hopefully chicks by the 10th
