So pretty, Holm!
Those are phenomenal talents! How many people (especially young people) can claim either of them these days? Real stuff—those things are real and “real” is just what this country is desperately short of. Never let yourself under-value them or let them go—you are more important than you can possibly imagine.
LOL As long as you have forage in summer and inexpensive hay in winter, they’re pretty easy keepers. So sweet, too. Eden loves having her neck brushed. I am evilly trying to spread my addiction.

Thanks... yes she is a cuddle bunny. You do have to watch the horns, not because they’d use them on you on purpose but just because they sometimes swing those bison heads around fast, to scratch an itch with a horn tip. Mostly they avoid me with the horns, but sometimes they forget.
They have that extra hair which allows them to marble better. They don’t have to get as fatty under their hide. But they take a lot longer to finish out compared to your averages colored beef.I’ve heard the meat from Highlanders’ is very good, well marbled but if she were mine I wouldn’t want to eat it. My neighbors have some of these. I have a field that would be perfect for some cows but DH will not build me a barn. When I put him in a home we’ll see if I can build one myself![]()
Oh no!! Not the “put in a home” threat....I’ve heard the meat from Highlanders’ is very good, well marbled but if she were mine I wouldn’t want to eat it. My neighbors have some of these. I have a field that would be perfect for some cows but DH will not build me a barn. When I put him in a home we’ll see if I can build one myself![]()
I did not know this... I want some. They have that extra hair which allows them to marble better. They don’t have to get as fatty under their hide. But they take a lot longer to finish out compared to your averages colored beef.
I raise white rock bantams but at the rate they’re going I won’t have any for sale this year.Anyone know breeders in Minnesota for bantams
