Thanks, @duluthralphie ! DH is gonna be bummed not to get the geese out of the garage just yet, but this will still make him feel better... until the next lot get here. I’ve told him about them several (many) times, but he’ll still be shocked and dismayed (only partly feigned) when they show up.

So... do the geese and the chickens need gradual introduction or when the geese are properly feathered up, can I safely just toss them into the same paddock with chickens and turkeys?

When I had geese, I tried to keep them on their own area...

They refused and joined the other birds daily. I gave up on keeping them separately..

They did not seem happy until they made every watered and feeder on the place a stinking slimy gooey mess.

Eew... nice. I believe you. I have float valve cup waterers and plan to feed 1x to 2x a day once everyone is out on pasture. The geese can have a lidded bucket with noggin-sized holes in to dip their noses. I realize they’re still messy but I gotta try, right?

Totally gorgeous day here today! I'm going to be outside most of it. Started cleaning up garden beds and fixing walkways yesterday. Feels good to finally make some progress in the yard instead of staring wistfully out the window.

Another nice day here . BC has the ground thawed ? Did you get to plant your trees ? I need to contact Butch about the septic job before the permit expires .

I spent my day fixing the hydrant in the coop. I now have running water. I am so happy and of course a genius to be able to fix it...

It will make life easier for my slaves, when they get here with their "Meals" or Moms...

Getting close to me . Next few days should be popping . Weekend for sure . Heard the spring peeper frogs today .
