My brother got his turkey yesterday morning. Had 15 of them in front of him and he shot the tiny jake... I sat last night and saw 7-8 birds. Rain was annoying.

Morning! Clear and cool here this morning. I have turkeys hatching! When I'm not obsessively checking on them I'll be outside working on more clean up. Hoping we can till the garden under today.

DS was up early for a pheasant shoot. So I got down to the coop and I could hear him already. He had it figured out he was in a house of hens. Got him down on the floor and he started telling girls about treats in a nice Barry White baritone voice. Sunny had to lay an egg but indeed she’s being chased. He must have known. The girls want to follow him. Abigail does for the wrong reasons though. She still wants to kick his butt. Lol. So funny because she can’t. Patsy the Welsummer is all over him knowing that treat voice means less effort on her own. The others are right there and they know what he’s about. Food finding and gifting. And he’s steady on that. Little bit of circle dancing but has not mated yet. Girls will be happy before the day is over though I’m sure. He’s just a nice boy.
