So idk whats going on, maybe my incubator is running hot or my thermometer is off. My first batch of turkeys last week was a dud, not one hatched.

I have a 2nd batch that are due to hatch on Tuesday and we have one got a pretty good start on zipping.....that's 4 days early!

I had both batches in my styro and then moved them to my brinsea for lockdown (easier to clean, plus there were different hatch times).

I bleached all my incubators and now have them stuffed with quail eggs. Fingers crossed for a decent hatch. Previous hatches this year have been awful.

My last hatch was pretty good.

We vaccinated 41 chicks as i recall..


I really am cutting back on birds.

I'm really concentrating on quail. I plan to hatch and process as many as I can by fall. I'm planning to reduce the chicken flock way down by then too.

It's a wet, sloppy mess here right now and nothing but rain in the forecast all week. Weeds are going to get out of hand.
