Surviving Minnesota!

Patsy Kline the Welsummer’s neck feathers have poofed off her body. Every time she flutters her wings it’s like a pillow fight has happened. She had a rough molt last fall. Looks like it’s the same for her. They all got protein treats today. Can of tuna. One thin shell egg scrambled. Some old chuckeye steak bites. And two old bananas.
Freya the barred rock’s black stripes look brown now. I’m amazed by that feather blanching.

Tomorrow I visit a college with my son but I have bronchitis. Started a zpack yesterday.

Just a follow up on my mother. We took her off life support 9 days after surgery. Her heart wouldn’t circulate good enough after the mitral valve transplant. Her passing was 5 months on the dot of Dad’s. No words are needed. I know she is with him and her good roots have just now been noted in these hard times.
The business of taking care of her business and cleaning a home of 40 years has kept me away here. Weve got more to do.
But during a forced rest day due to this bronchitis hiccup. I got some chicken tv and spoiling done.

Thank God for chickens.
:hugs

First week of senior year is done. This is my easiest year by far with my classes. I am taking an Online exercise science class which I just started yesterday but I like it a lot.
Bow season opens on the 30, I don't bow hunt but it's a good reminder to get out and start getting them used to it. Here is a small one, who was pretty nice, that I saw on the way home yesterday

It’s good to teach deer their place in the world is on the table..

Also it appears you have learned the secret to life earlier than most of us..

Adults have lied to you your entire life... everything is easier as you get older... it is a myth that hard work is required to succeed...

You can have anything you want just for being alive.. most of us don’t have fancy cars and mansions for one reason, to torture our kids and make them think life is hard and they have to work hard for those things.....

Life is actually a lot like Xmas... a white haired old man gives you everything you want from now until you turn to dust... I am glad you discovered this in the first week of your senior year...

It took Holm until the 29 th week to discover the secret...
