I was planning on riding today, but I got busy and didn't have time. If it's not as crazy windy tomorrow morning as it is right now (65mph gusts) I'll try and go then, I could use some riding and so could she!

This was from Wednesday, I wanted to ride then but it was icy, as you can see, and it started to rain so I wasn't able to.

Ralphie, as relates to a trip to Togo. I don't believe they got the rain up there, and so the lakes may be in better shape than in the Duluth and more Southerly regions.
Although we have not had much double digit cold so far one of my Marans roosters has significant comb damage. The other rooster shows very little damage, and I conclude he does a better job of tucking his head under his wing at night ?

I have 2 speckled Sussex cockerels, one has lost most his comb, the other is not in too bad of shape.

I think the snow cover in the Togo area is the problem, thin ice with 3 ft of snow is just pushing the water onto the ice.

They told me drilling a hole crates a geysers.

I am guessing this is a non-fishing winter.

We had the highest wind speed last night in the state, at 66mph. Living on a hill definitely has its disadvantages with winds like that

I ordered some Elderberries...dried. I'm going to make a syrup or something with them for this season of flu and cold viruses.
I have proven to have the Mom immunity still I guess. Although I feel like I could take more naps. I like naps.
Any ways the berries are coming from Wisconsin. Thank goodness.

They are not like the MyFace socks that I ordered for Christmas presents which are coming from China. I ordered them December 2nd. They are not here yet and I was given some supposed reassurance with a Chinese tracking number. Their replies to return my money have been they are overwhelmed with their success and I must wait. My response was to clarify on their website where their shop is so I can make a sane knowledgeable decision to purchase from a more local company. Bass Turds.

I have some dried elderberries, I make a cup of tea now and then. It's delicious.

Basil, the cockerel is getting aggressive towards me. This morning I brought fresh water and was taking out the font with slush when he jumped up and knocked the waterer out of my hands, the base broke but I have others. My natural reaction is to want to give him a shove or kick but that supposedly would make him more aggressive. Jerk.

If you used PayPal, contact them. They’re pretty good about settling this sort of thing ime, though I’ve only had to resort to them once. If you used your credit card online, ditto.
