So I am trying to grow lupins again this year . I have seeds sprouted already . Last years attempt mostly failed due to dry conditions at the lake . Plus I was too busy building to water regularly .

I am wondering if my Sainthood has been revoked. The weather sucks. Ice-sleet-rain-snow- it’s just ugly!

I doubt that the WW is going to buy that identity you are assigning this bird? Up here we got some rain yesterday that iced everything up and a dusting of snow overnight.

She was doubtful as to that being a ruffed grouse.

We got a ton of rain that became ice and was covered with an inch of snow. Had that rain been snow, we would have 18 ft of snow. I am hoping the rain turning to ice protected the banana trees.

We got our first egg in 5 months!!

The hen that laid it is a poult, I think.
She laid the egg in the dogs mouth.

Cocoa the old hen living in DH’s shop for the winter laid an egg today! She’ll be 10 next month. She hadn’t laid in 4 years.
