Surviving Minnesota!

I am proud to say I am a much better animal trainer than the WW is!!

She has been trying so hard to train the chickens to not sit on the steps or mill about the deck.

I am having no problems training them to spend more time on the deck and steps…however I did catch a little H-e double hockey steps when she caught me dribbling peanuts onto the steps and deck..

Sore loser is what she is!

So a high of 60 + here today . Our third day of spring like weather . 39 tomorrow .
I was 53 yesterday supposed to be about the same but cloudy today.

Got another raccoon making 60 since 2020..... One neighbor feeds them, the other 2 neighbors have problems with them getting in the houses. Trapper charged one neighbor $150 each animal 😱
Doing my part for the neighbors and my turkeys.

I have caught up on the reading here and learn that Ralphie has been Sainted?!
The weather near the lake has been mostly unpleasant, and when St. Ralphie got an inch we got almost 2 ft. My good friend and business partner in Bemidji got only a couple inches, but up there they generally have strong winds and all the snow gets piled up in 4 ft drifts.
My chickens free range daily and walk the path to my pigeon lofts where the south side is melted and they can bask in sunshine on the few days it would actually shine.
According to my favorite weather man, Don Day, the next 45 days for the Mountain West and Northern Plains will be colder and wetter than normal. This is not encouraging news!

Sounds like a repeat of March 2021 when I got 44" of snow. I have about 5" of sky dandruff so far today with the wind picking up to start blowing drifts.
