Good luckSo Thursday the 14 they are going to shock my heart . Trying to get it out of AFIB .
Eh, it has a lot of things going for it compared to the desert. If nothing else, dying from cold exposure is supposed to be more peaceful than heat stroke. But there's also water, reasonably priced land, grass, trees, water, a less hectic pace of life, water, better schools, just to name a few. Did I mention water? Sure. Winters will be unlike anything I'm used to, but I spent 2 weeks in MSP in winter and experienced a good blizzard during that trip, so I've had a taste.Just visit, you really wouldn't want to live here!

I've spent my whole life on the desert. The sun does strange things to your brain when you bake it for that long, so to me this seems like a new challenge but nothing I'm afraid of. That could be beacuse I'm not right in the head though. Yeah, we'd be giving up some things we're used to here, but life's about learning new things and occasionally to grow you have to move outside your comfort zone.
BTDT, Did some contract work for a company in MSP a few years back. Stuck in my hotel for a couple days because of a blizzard on that trip. Oddly, I had the same experience in Madison when I did a gig at Land's End too. That time it was only a day stuck though, they did a better job with their roads and plowing (was also early March so that would make a difference). The cold doesn't bother me all that much really. I spent many years living at 7500 feet and doing AZ's version of winter. It's not the same level of cold, but we've got some experience at least.I am guessing in 10 weeks we should be there,

Compared to Phoenix prices it's reasonable. Our real estate market is a disaster right now with the influx of investment companies trying to get in front of the influx of people from all over the place flocking to az. I can sell my house for stupid money sight unseen right now, and have a very nice down payment on 10 acres with a house and structures on it.I am not sure about reasonably priced land near Buffalo.
Have you checked real estate prices in AZ lately?I am not sure about reasonably priced land near Buffalo.
