I don’t think so, it was 6:30am and two of the hens were still on the roost. Should I continue to withhold food or let her eat freely? I’ll definitely give her some coconut oil.Had she had anything to eat/drink at all this morning before you checked the crop?
It wouldn't hurt to give her some coconut oil twice a day, manipulate the crop if it's doughy feeling.
No chance of her eating something toxic, poison, rotten, moldy, etc.?
I'm very sorry that she's getting worse. I was hoping that she would improve![]()
Possibly, but I only let the chickens free range under supervision, since there’s a lot of hawks where I live, and I didn’t notice anything (I have a small yard). They do have the option of scratching through compost, which may have had something moldy in it.
