STOLEN SILKIE ALERT-- Please, if you see this Silkie Hen at this show, she is mine! She was stolen from the DElmarva Show 3/8/09. She has a blue legband #23, and a metal legband #35270. She is unmistakeable with her huge crest & beard & heavy foot feathering. She came from George Mihalik. Her name is "Betty" and she belongs to Richard Kendall & Stephanie Kuhn of Funky Feathers Fancy Poultry Farm in Maryland (Eastern Shore). Please alert Kay St. Amour and any security and call me if you see her! 443-521-7426. Please help me get my baby back. I am trying to file a police report, but they just don't seem to care about a chicken.

Fattie, I would ask to speak with the sheriff. That is outrageous. Your tax money pays for their job and when you need them they should be made available no matter how petty they believe it to be. Tell them she is not "just a chicken" ...she is an expensive show bird.. worth hundreds of dollars and she is also a family pet which is priceless and that if they want to blow you off, you'll be glad to notify the local paper as well as thier superior officer and make them aware as to how you've been treated!!!!!

edited to say: that is the fabulous thing about belonging to a group such as this. We will help. We've done it before. Let us know which police station you are speaking of and I'll consider it my personal mission
