Sussex Gender and EE Color?

Silkies can have single combs when they're "hatchery". We had quite a few go through here (I work at TSC) with single combs, 4 toes, partially feathered legs/feet... hatcheries don't cull for bad traits so they (the traits) just continue on.

I figured as much. I got them from TSC, too. I picked this one in particular because it was the biggest and most feathered (it is a very nice bird other than the comb). I am hoping I got at least one pullet out of these four (two would be nice, and I prefer one of them be the black one). I don't plan on breeding them, they are my personal incubators.

I was going to buy a couple while I was down at your place over the weekend, but I didn't sell any of mine and I didn't have room in carriers (I did that on purpose or I would have had Silkies and Cochin Bantams).

I'm on the fence yet about the Sussex.
