For edible plants I would suggest planting strawberries and blueberries, very heavy producers. I believe (not sure) that you can even use the leaves to make teas.

Great ideas. We have wild black raspberries currently, and also want to plant Honey Crisp apple trees.

Something else to consider is saving extra seeds each year, then starting many plants and selling them. People will spend a fortune on started plants.

Very true. Just look at what a green house gets for a small plant vs seeds.
