swan FROZEN in lake, what do i do?

Thanks for the speedy replies! Sadly, it is in the direct center of the lake. Gee, I don't have a boat or anything. I will call buttonwood zoo tomorrow morning, thanks for that suggestion! I will also call the police tomorrow depending on what the zoo tells me , I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt in the pitch dark, but the poor swan

To get some response, call your local TV station. Send a photo of the poor critter.

Go to your local fire house or police dept. Ask them if anyone can help it.... the fire dept is often the ones who go out on the water for dog etc.. rescues.

Be careful helping the swan if you get close to it. They can really do a lot of damage! They have enough power in their wings to break a human leg, which is the strongest bone in the body!

But I agree...a boat and a bucket of luke warm water should do the trick.
