Hi Everyone, it's been awhile since I've been on this site. I've always thought everyone on here so useful and helpful whenever I had a question.
So I'm hoping I could get some help today. I have a young goose who laid about 18 eggs and it's been sitting on her nest for roughly 34 days. She's very thin but still he's able to get up from her nest about 10 minutes two or three times a day. She runs around, eats plenty and drinks a lot of water.
I'm starting to get concerned about the length of time she's been on her nest and when I should intervene. I can't say the eggs will hatch or they won't hatch.my heart would break if they didn't hatch she's put in so much work

when do you think is an appropriate time to remove her from her nest due if eggs not are happy?
Thank you in advance

Goose eggs take around 28-35 days to hatch, so it sounds like the eggs are possibly not going to hatch. Can you take a few of the eggs at night and candle them? It would be easy to see if they're developed or not.

I would remove her at day 37, just to be safe. If you candle the eggs and they are not developed, remove her sooner, of course.

Candle those eggs. she sounds like she is getting pretty run down. If they aren't any good go ahead and get rid of them destroy the nest and put something over it so she can't go back.
