Why not just start a bad feedback thread? We have a good feedback one, which is good. My husband moderates a forum that have a bad feedback one. The rules are you can post your bad feedback, the accused can post one rebuttal, and then if either one of them keeps on about it, they get banned. Works pretty well. Granted, the site is somewhat smaller, 10,000 members, but it only has about half the moderators too.

Maybe make it more general. There were issues on a seed swap too. Another thing people can already do now is link to their ebay rating page in their sig if they have one.

I think the reason we haven't a feedback thread is that it keeps the forum from having the negativity associated with that. If the ratings and potential conflict is kept off of BYC we'll keep that unique aspect- this is a uniquely friendly and well-moderated family of 27K+.

I would rather it be kept off the premises, myself.

I can understand the moderators and this website, not wanting to get involved in the swaps and sales, in essence leaving it up to the parties involved, but by the same token, I think we should be able to post if we have a bad experience, too. Its not fair to the rest of the members to have people involved in unfair practises still involved with the swaps and sales.

That is too bad you had a bad deal. It's a big disappointment. Shame on them!! I watch very carefully who I buy from. I look at their posts. Who they have sold to...you know..you can usually get a good idea. Most people are honest. Personally I think the owner should get an AUCTION SCRIPT for the forum. Doesn't take much to install one. It would help with dishonesty and help promote egg sales.

Momof, I'm very sorry you had a bad time of it. I hope you won't judge all the users here by that, as I've found the opposite to be true in my observations- I haven't any direct experience myself.

I can't do spreadsheets like that to save my life! I always mess up the formulas! Very talented indeed!
