Jen the best part we don't have to reinvent anything we are going to use the same setup andy does here is his page http://www.meetup.com/chickens/ we will have to start off by find a place to meet that can be anywhere. As the club grows we will find a bigger place. i will also look into getting some sponsor ship like local grain elevators tsc. one of our meetup can be the spring swap meet or have a big picnic someplace where we can bring our birds to trade or educational stuff. here is where we start https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=264764

Well I wonder if that guy at the Flea Market we had the swap at would have any place that we could
use. I no that he was soooooo thrilled we did it there and is really looking forward to our next one.
just a thought but i could call him and see.
I was thinking having at a place to eat nothing fancey just a place to talk about chicken and eat some dinner with friends. I think keep having our swaps at his place for sure best way to go.
If you go one exit north up I-71 to Rt 68 there's a Max and Erma's that is quite nice and quiet, plus the food is good. Since it's out in the middle of no where, it's usually pretty easy to get seated anyway you want. It's ???? maybe 5 mi north of the Caesar's Creek Swap location if that is an area that you had in mind.
we can be flexable with that maybe have one there one north toward dayton and the one toward middletown area so everyone has an even shot to make it. I think we will get people who live in the ohio Indiana border as well. There is already a meetup group in Columbus but they arn't doing alot right now
In down town Waynesville there is a little place called the Village Family Restaurant
that has a room kinda private off to the side and there is also the Der Dutchman that
has lots of private rooms.
(just a meeting place thought)
