Had a good time, I think we could have sold more later on but we left at 1. Sold 3 guineas, some eggs, some silkies, my incubator and some feed

Took home more than I had planned on, but I didn't buy anything (probably because I didn't go walk around I let my DH go check it out) No body seemed to want babies and that is what I pretty much had, oh well there is always CL and other swaps... we will come next time for sure! It was great meeting those of you I got to meet!

I got a pair of beautiful purple peafowl from deerman. It was a pleasure to meet you in person. I always find your posts intelligent & informative. My boyfriend has been looking for some peafowl & I told him you were the only person I would ever buy from. BTW sending you a PM with info on the other thing we talked about.

Also got 4 buff cochin hens & 2 blue laced red brahma hens(Project). Their punk rock pink hairdoos are the talk of all the chickens.

Didn't catch who you were on here but let me know. I'm kinda shy in person & my boyfriend did most of the buying & talking.

My friend who recently lost her rooster to a still unknown cause, got a new 6mth old roo, I'm not sure of the breed cuz I wasn't with her when she bought him. She was the blonde lady with the Pug. And she also bought one of the blue laced red Brahma hens.

Great time, great chickens, hope to be able to attend in the spring!!

Thanks Jen for getting this all together for us, next time I will have to meet you in person.

I did way better than I ever imagined I would. I had already paid for my trio of Blue Cochin Bantams from Mandy at Cochin Coop and just needed to go pick them up. What little beauties they are! Mandy you were such a help and wealth of information. Thank you so much.
Then I truly lucked out with S-C Bird Farm. Terry was so kind and helpful. He checked my Mille Fleur eggs and confirmed for me that they are fertile. I also ended up with 2 Mille Fleur HENS!!!!! Can you believe that? I guess he had trios and the people just bought pairs and that left a spare hen from each trio. Yippy!!!

Then just as I was ready to leave, I was almost out of there......safe.......what did I see but these two little round black balls tucked away in the shadows. They had something else going on with them, so I went to see what they were and it was a pair of silver lace Cochin Bantams..........$8.00!!!!!! They could be interesting, but for 8 bucks, I couldn't go wrong and they're already so cute, I could just die.
The guy with the "project birds" was so nice. Gary was his name. You folks who got those birds, I think you got great birds. They are beautiful! All in all it was just a wonderful day, and I LOVE my birds. They are beautiful.

So the set up count came to 30 people. This didn't include
a few that were walking around selling off there little
wagons. I think that most of the people that set up said that they saw the add on craigs list. I thought the prices that most people had were great and i couldn't get over how many birds there were for sale!! Not to mention the cute little bunnies and what about those little pigs. How cute were they!! Everyone i got to talk to was so nice and very helpful. I was so glad to get a chance to meet you all. i no that i missed some of you. It was hard figuring out who was a BYC person and who wasn't. I guess i should have just asked. DUH! Maybe in the spring i will bring name tags.
The guy that owned the placed was thrilled with everything and said please come back in the spring. he will make some changes so that it goes even better for us. I dont think he had a clue what to expect with this. I told him make sure he gets more porta johns for sure and he said oh yea! LOL!
Great show, birds, prices and people!! Thanks everyone for showing up!!!

The black ones we saw they said only get to be about 35 pounds, so more of a pet than anything.

I got a late start so didn't bring anything with me (this time). But it was great to meet a bunch of fellow BYCers and lots of great birds, bunnies, pigs (and a goat). I was able to get a pair of young turkeys so I didn't leave empty handed. I got a lot of great info on pheasants and bunnies so I'm sure I'll be adding these to my menagerie come spring.

Thank you, Jen, for arranging this. It was a wonderful show that came together quickly. It was good meeting you and I look forward to the spring show.
