We had a 2.5 lb pound cake this week. It's finally cool enough to use the oven. Got get another one made as the first is down to the last piece. I want a chocolate pound cake. Now to convince my better half to make it that way.

That sounds really good! I’ve been super happy with the cool weather lately. I’ve finally been able to use the stove for the better part of the day without overheating the house

Made a pie again this week. Planning on making a pumpkin pie next week

practice makes progress! I’m sure they’ll be better next time, maybe you can tweak the recipe some to better achieve what you’re aiming for with them

Dinners from this past month:

Shepherds pie, herb-buttered carrots and oven roasted squash and potatoes

Tomato based beef soup and scalloped potatoes

Tuna noodle casserole, brown sugar carrots and oven roasted squash and potatoes

Lemon pepper fettuccine, corn pudding and stuffed mushrooms

I don’t have a picture of it but there was also a lasagna

Thanks! I saw a mini pumpkin waffle iron at target and just couldn’t resist lol
