SWEDISH Duck Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The black one has alot of features like mine, but the more Anconas I see, I wonder if mine are anconas instead of Swedish. I've never seen brown Swedish though. I hope someone else has some input. I'm still learning their traits.

Well, as of 9:44 p.m. EDST, the photo is back - I don't see any Anconas in there. One looks like a Swedish-Runner mix - the one with the bill turned down on the right.

Hi all, I am new to Backyard Chickens. I bought 7 Swedish ducklings earlier in the year and another pair last month. I presently have some ducklings hatching (from eggs I put in the incubator). The first two were hatched gold colour with yellow beaks and legs. I am hoping they will darken up but it could be the recessive white gene I have seen people talking about? Time will tell! I love the breed so far. I am a first time duck owner and they have been great. They free range every day and swim on our dam. They are locked away at night. I bought ducks to control our snail population and they seem to be doing a good job. I will post some pics once the hatching has finished. I also have Barnevelders, Australorps and Plymouth Rock chooks.

I don't know what colors you started with, but could they be silvers? I have a blue and a black that I got from Metzer. They were light grey and black when they were 'lings, but blues come from breeding a black and a silver (I have never seen a silver 'ling) so if two blues produce offspring, they should be 50% blue, 25% black and 25% silver. If you put up pictures there are plenty knowledgeable people here who could probably pinpoint exactly what you have.
