Here’s our little princess Strawberry :love . She decided at a very young age that she was going to be our pet. She has trained everyone to pick her up, scratch her chest, and give special little treats.

Pudding and Taco were outside and didn’t get photos.

Out of 20 birds, 14 were male. One didn’t make it this far, and 12 are over at the boys’ clubhouse waiting to go to camp.

Wow. You ended up with 14 cockerels. What are you gonna do with them? I heard they make excellent roast and has good tasting meat. But your birds look excellent. Thanks for the photo update.

My quad squad is doing well also I'm so please with how there developing. Here's my update.

OMG I'm in love -- so beautiful! None of mine have that gorgeous blue coloring like on your one pullet.

The dozen extra boys here will, as my son Tony puts it "go to freezer camp, where they'll learn a great taco recipe. Then they'll be reincarnated as burritos." Humor is definitely his way of accepting that the birds' job is to be food.

Of the 6 hens, we're keeping our 4 favorites. The other two are going to live with Tony's best friend, so they're pretty much staying in the family.

That sounds great. I'm keeping my 2 cockerels so maybe I might be able to get some fertile eggs at a later point. I'm surprise there so friendly to me not so much with the pullets though. But there still young so there getting nutty phase out.

Glad things sound well with you.
