Swedish Flower Hen Thread

We just recently got 2 Swedish flower hens from a breeder in North Dakota. He has a wonderful, healthy flock and we enjoyed visiting his farm. We think we may have lucked out and got one hen and one roo but I'm still new to this and not entirely confident in my sexing abilities.

I am very excited to see what they look like full grown as they are some gorgeous birds. Here's a couple pics of the one we think is the Roo. His name is Thor as he is so beautiful and strong! He already acts like he is protecting the flock!

How old. He does look a little rooster.

We are over-run with little flowers.
I got a WAY better than expected hatch rate. I usually just throw a bunch of eggs in the little giant, turn by hand maybe once a day, and get maybe a 70% hatch.
This time my hubby bought me an egg turner and WOW, they all hatched! Just sold a couple on craigslist though so that helps.

I can tell the sex on most of mine by 6/7 weeks, but some it takes forever, especially the crested ones.
