Swedish Flower Hen Thread

Got about 3 hours in the new coop for my Swedish Flower girls. It is time they went to better quarters.
Should have this knocked out tomorrow and Monday.
It is roughly 8x12 and 6 high. The front 8 feet will be covered with wire and the last 4 feet will be inclosed on back and sides. Roof over the inclosed part. Roost under inclosed area. Nest box in back wall opens from outside. Can be moved when needed.
Under $100 in materials. The most expensive one I have built.

Nice job!!! Hi I am new here, been raising chickens of all kinds, mostly Game fowl, and pigeons and such for the last 40 years, I love that someone can afford to import some of these new and exciting breeds so that at some point some of us other folks can acquire some!!!LOL Lynn in Okla.

Ok. I'm about to set more SFH eggs... just wondering if anyone in the area (I'm in East TN) is interested in some chicks.... I would like to set as many as possible, but only can grow out 4 or 5 chicks with my setup.... so if more hatch, then there will be some for sale.

Anyone interested, let me know. I'll be setting tommorrow (Sunday) night... late.

And to answer anyone's question ahead of time, no, I don't ship. ;)

Got a little more done today, Maybe have it finished by weekend. I am on a big red electric wheelchair, so it takes me a little longer than it did 25 years ago.
My son comes and helps me when he can.
Today we got the door on, the OSB up and the roost installed.. Tomorrow I'll start putting up the wire and cutting tin for the covered part of the roof.

I have question.
My SFH chiks will be 4 mos on 28th. I should have them in new coop this weekemd.
When you reckon I ought to put the rooster in with them? He is at least a year old.
I have him with 3 EE and a BR right now so he can stay in practice. In fact just hatched out 12 chicks from him and them.
Thanks

Very nice! Can't wait to see the finished product!
