Swedish Flower Hen Thread

What size are the eggs? I've seen it posted they are large, and another place extra large. Thanks.

starting to think my crested one is a cockeral

in a way that would be nice because I can put him over the non crested girls but that would mean I only have 2 pullets

does anyone know when the pullets get wattles in this breed? I am thinking of just making a pen for the crested, suspected cockeral and my 2 pullets and making a bachelor pen for my other boys...don't know how I am going to part with them...they are all so pretty.

that at least 6 of the 8 chicks in the brooder are pullets... I know, wishful thinking

I had 2 Swede pullets that laid small eggs in the beginning, but they did started to increase in size after a few months. They looked like bantam eggs at first though! My cochins' eggs start out that small as well.

Love 'em. Waiting for the price to come down. My highest regards to those of you that took the plunge.

Well I just got my pairs.

I got a pair around 6 to 8 weeks and a pair around 9 to 10 weeks old. They are awesome I am so happy with greenfire farms right now; I will recommend them any day. Thanks jenny
